Drouin Supercharger - The Rebuild Begins

The infamous impeller bearing. Known in the past to burnout but not anymore. Rated for 58,000 RPM and packed with high speed grease which the G74 stands for as per Barden. Precision bearings are expensive but can take the beating that only a Drouin SuperCharger can hand out. The same part # with but with a 'C' is of course the ceramic bearing which some will argue is better or worse.  I am going with the steel bearing not because of cost but I believe will be the better bearing for the job.

Joe Hunt Honda 750 Mag

Awhile back I got this from my friend Ken at CycleX. Vintage spark monster like this Hunt was just what the current build needed. When I started to take it apart a very specific gear was needed. I start hunting around (no pun intended) and talk to a couple local machine shops, it works out the gear is very difficult to reproduce due to the cross cut. Out of despiration, I called Joe Hunt Mags and his son says " we no longer do Honda stuff but yeah, I believe my dad had some of those on the shelf from 30 years ago". $10 bucks a gear later (yes only $10), I take three and finish off the rebuild. Without that gear, this would have been a huge paper weight.

Peace Sign Light

Got the Peace sign light to add to my collection, always diggin' the 70's stuff and goes good with my 70's taillight fetish. Polished the lense and got the base plate at House of Silver for a refresh. Here is the pic when I got it.
