Drouin Supercharger - The Rebuild Begins

The infamous impeller bearing. Known in the past to burnout but not anymore. Rated for 58,000 RPM and packed with high speed grease which the G74 stands for as per Barden. Precision bearings are expensive but can take the beating that only a Drouin SuperCharger can hand out. The same part # with but with a 'C' is of course the ceramic bearing which some will argue is better or worse.  I am going with the steel bearing not because of cost but I believe will be the better bearing for the job.

  2. Very nice, what kind of shape is your Drouin? I have changed bearings to the G-18 grease. We should talk.

  3. How is your Drouin project going? I bought mine be haven't done anything with it. It's a complete kit but the drive pulley coming off the crank is way bigger than stock. I have to find a smaller one. Like you, I also want rebuild the blower.
